EX-SDI /HD-SDI cameras will not work with standard DVRs. This camera will only function with a HD-SDI or EX-SDI DVR.
EX-SDI is the newest high definition format that combines the best features of other systems. EX-SDI has the lossless digital imaging and superior interference rejection of HD-SDI and the long transmission distance capability of HD-TVI and AHD formats.
4K Ready:
EX-SDI is built in mind of adopting 4K resolution to security. Thanks to the EX-SDI VLC feature, because of that it is possible to transmit 4K in realtime FPS over coaxial cable.
Balun Capable:
UTP cable is another option to transmit EX-SDI video signal in order to reduce cable cost. Specialized video balun for EX-SDI is required. (sold separately)

* For the HD-SDI system to function, only full size, RG-59 coax cabling with 95% copper braided shield can be used. If your cable contains a silver braid and/or aluminum foil liner, this system will not work.
