Considered a lifesaver by professional CCTV installers, this ground loop isolator, commonly called a humbucker, eliminates or substantially reduces video ground bars, a common form of video interference in CCTV installations caused by varying ground potentials from different camera power sources. Ground bars are horizontal distortions that are somewhat transparent, that slowly creep up/down in your video picture (also herringbone and AC beat). The bars vary in thickness, intensity, and transparency and can cause the picture to tear or lose sync lock. Very common in industrial locations and metal skin buildings. This humbucker is a filter that is uniquely designed to eliminate these ground loop related distortions. | ||
